Jan 28th and Feb 11th

The one year anniversary if my mothers passing came on January 28th,hard to believe it has already been a year. What an Amazing mother I was so blessed to have, she had so much heart and soul, and loved people completely.I waited for this time in my life for 8 years, kids in school,no work and all the time in the world to spend with my mom. I had so many plans, my life was about to be more amazing. I had trips planned, going berry picking, going to Whole Foods. She just was more sunshine in my life. I miss her terribly like a hole in my heart. Some days are so depressing and then other days I find great Joy in my life. I remember her helping me with the kids when they had a 104 degree temps, and Ron was in California visitng family. She stayed up all night with me just keeping those 2 babies cool and hydrated. Also after I had Kaitlyn she put a roast in the crock pot for us and cleaned our house. She was always there for me, I could always count on her. What happy memories I hold in my heart. God blessed me by sending me to live in Texas,I got to spend so much time with her, lots of good times. For that I am so thankful.

On Feb 11th it was 15 years since my dad passed. He was so awesome. He always told us he loved us, and always so affectionate. I was devasted when he died. I remember when he took me to get my license and helped me buy my first car. What a blessing he was to me. I miss him so much. In this life I had 2 wonderful parents. My cup over floweth. Mom and dad you will forever be in my heart, and I pray that i can continue the legacy that you left behind, and remind my kids of their wonderful grandmother and grandpa. Love forever.

College

I am taking a Government class that goes towards my AA degree. I am trying to get my 60 credits so that I can do substitute teaching (perfect schedule-Work when I want) off on holidays and summer. As I get more into my AA I will consider going for my teaching degree. I am so not a behind the desk kind of person, and I really dislike Accounting (what I have done for the past 8 years) Volunteering at the school, and doing presentations like Art Masterpiece and Junior Achievement where I have to give a presentation to the kids, that just is preparation for being a teacher. The school the kids go to is so awesome, everybody works together, and there is so many parent volunteers. I really feel like God placed us where we need to be. Very encouraging and uplifting.

8 year Anniversary

In 2009 Ron and i celebrated our 8 year anniversary. Ron surprised me with red roses and a pretty card. Ronnie and Kristan took care of the kids, and we headed to downtown Houston to do some touring. Before dinner we had some drinks at a pub, and there was some kind of disturbance up the street, and the police were there, well this homeless man who was part of the disturbance (nothing violent) came over an asked for some money because he was hungary, well Ron invited the guy to sit down (okay we had a few drinks in us)so we started talking to him, and I left to get a menu so I could order this man a sandwich, when I came back this white cop grabbed the man and handcuffed him on the spot. Well the bartender of the pub came out and told us to never feed the animals, well I told him that the homeless man was a human being, and basically that was not cool to say, well we had to leave because I was getting mad about what the bartender said, and about to come unglued.
We stayed at the Doubletree Hotel (very nice) drank Champagne. For dinner we ate a Japanese restaurant had some yummy sushi. I really enjoyed walking around the city.
To cap off the evening we had drinks at the Hyatt Hotel. I love anniversary getaways.

Kaitlyn & Sophia

Kaitlyn and Sophia wanted to get some pictures together. Sophia is in Kaitlyns class, and she lives a block over from us. They get along good, and talk like teenagers on the telephone.

Pictures from Winter Break

Savannah

We sent a care package to the kids handicapped cousin Savannah, the kids all wrote her nice cards, with peace signs. Her dad was in the hospital so they were cheering her up.

Winter Break

On the last day of Winter break we took the kids and Lauren (our 3rd child-ha) to Schliterrbahn in Galveston. One of the moms from the school posted on FB that she had 3 kids tickets and 1 adult ticket. We drove about 1 hour to Galveston and boy was it cold outside brrrr. Well we got to the ticket counter, and we were going to have to buy a ticket for Ron, well the lady said that somebody had left a ticket behind that we could have, man was that awesome we did not pay anything for admission ( only paid for our food) they had a jacuzzi with a bar you could swim up to, an indoor kids swimming area. My favorite was tubing in the wave pool man was that fun (one wave crashed over my head) The kids were super 2 rides that were outside (they were all shivering after)The trip was a capper off to a great winter break. Lauren said it was the best birthday present (she turned 9 that weekend)

Chase also came over, and spent 2 nights with Ryan-they are so close in age, and they always have fun together.
I also took 5 kids to Jumpin Joey's they all had a great time also.
