Church/Graduation Party

This afternoon Kaitlyn and I went to church, I had kitchen duty. Before we left for church I had made a bunch of finger sandwiches for after church.Kaitlyn fell asleep during the first part of church, the 2nd part she attended bible school and made a bird feeder out of a pine cone. After church I worked in the kitchen serving snacks.I met a new lady named Stacy, she was very outgoing and sweet.
After church Kaitlyn had children's choir practice (they will be performing on Pentecost) This will be Kaitlyn's first performance.

When I was done working in the Kitchen we went home and picked up Ron and Ryan. We headed to one of his Co-workers duaghters graduation party. Okay let me tell you that this was not your typical American Graduation, this was Vietnamese style. The food the cooked was all "traditional" so everything had at least 1 unclean meat in it I ate a couple vegetable egg rolls,Ron ate a little bit of veggies ans the kids ate watermelon. So the family was so nice and went out and got us some chicken, they did not have to do that, but I was thankful that they did (I had not eaten very much all day) This family is very serving, and Natalie the gal that graduated was running around serving everyone,I guess that is the culture. Kaitlyn and Ryan had some kids to play with so that was nice. We enjoyed ourselves, and everyone was pretty friendly.

Friday

Today I did some errands, and then we headed over to Kids in Action and got Kaitlyn signed up for a 10 week gymnastics program. She will get to try out all the different kinds of equipment. Start date is June 13th.
Ronnie and Kristan came over, and Ron grilled some huge steaks(yummmy)Ronnie took the kids over to a neighbors house to jump on their trampoline, they have a little girl named Lauren that is Kaitlyn's age. So they were gone a couple of hours,it was nice to chill for a bit with no kids under foot. Ronnie is a good brother to the kids.

Movie

Today was a kick back day,Kaitlyn was still down with her ear infection, just no energy for my girl. Ryan rode his bike around the court,I think that is his favorite thing to do. His big brother bought him a bigger bike,so Ryan is a speedy on it.

Ron has free tickets to thee movies so I took advantage today while Ron was home. So I saw What happens in Vegas it was hilarious. Then I did a lttle shopping. I came home to Ron and Ronnie watching boxing, if it is not a Rocky movie I loathe boxing. I sat for about 5 minutes and then when the blood started squirting I was out of there.

Tonight I was watching Jon and Kate plus 8 a cute show about this couple that had twins and then wanted 1 more child and ended up with 6(3boys and 3girls). Okay that would be crazy I have 2 and my brother tops me with 1 girl and then twin girls so 3- but let me tell you Jon & Kate Gosden have us all beat. I think I would loose my mind. They say it is a crazy life, but it is their life.

Sounds Good to Me

Strange Day

Today did not at all turn out like I thought it would. I was suppose to go to church and then we were having people over for dinner after church. Well come to find out the mother of the family coming over got sick,so we had to cancel dinner. So I got up this morning and laid on the couch, well then Ronnie and Kristen came over, and the kids were going with them for the night. So they hung out for awhile, then one of Ron's co-workers came over,he brought Ron some kind of whisky. They sat and talked for awhile and I visited with Kristan. Before Ronnie was suppose to leave Kaitlyn sarted crying about her ear hearting( Ronnie and Kristan were going on a boat ride and swimming with some friends)We thought it would be best if Kaitlyn did not go. Of course she was upset. So when everyone left we ended up taking Kaitlyn to an Emergency Room (clinic type in a strip mall) it was the best doctor's experience I have ever had, there was no waiting no hassle we were in and out. There was no one else there. So Kaitlyn ended up having an ear infection, we got a prescription for antibiotics and ear drop pain reliever. Then we moved on over to Walgreens to have all her prescriptions filled. What a crazy day.

American Idol

So tonight Ron and I watched the Finale of American Idol. It was great to see so many stars perform. David Cook was my choice to win. I feel like both of the young men were very humble in accepting all the accolades. I just hope that showbiz does not make them jaded. Next season starts in January.

Swimming Pool

Now that we are approaching the hot summer months, I went and got the kids a pool for the back yard. Our community pool does not open during the week until school is out. When that open's I am sure we will be over there. The kids pretty much spent the whole day outside, they had their goggles and paddle boards. I laid ou in the sun, hope to get that Saint Tropez tan (haha)

We came home and the kids rode there bikes, while I sat in the lawn chair and enjoyed the cool afternoon.Ryan was riding Kaitlyn's Big bike and he rode it good.

Tomato

Kaitlyn found a nice ripe red tomato in Pa's garden. What she did not know was that Pa was waiting for it to get perfectly red so that he could have his first tomato of the season. Kaitlyn did bite into it,but did save PA some.

Mother/Daughter Day Out

Since My mom and I were not able to get together for Mother's Day. We planned an outing for the day after. I picked up my mom and we exchanged gifts, she got clothes and I got money and jammies. So we headed to our favorite restaurant the Teapot Depot,it is a quaint restaurant with good food. After we headed down to Kemah to the Boarwalk. We rode on this train that took you around the Boardwalk(lived her 7years and that was my first time. Then went up this revolving ride that took you in the air so you could see a panoramic view of Kemah. It was nice because we went during the week and it was not crowded at all. We purchased some homemade fudge-yummy
At the end of the day we headed to the Aquarium Restaurant and had an early dinner and watched the amazing fish in the huge tank. We had such a fun day together. My mom is a fun person to hang out with.

Mothers Day

I woke up this morning to breakfast in bed and lounged around most of the morning, and watched a show that I wanted to watch. Received a lovely pair of jammies from the family (I did not own any nice p.j's)so that was a treat. My step-son and mom called to wish me a "Happy Mothers Day" very sweet of them. Kristin and Ronnie took both kids and the dog over to their house for the night (so I appreciated that break)
Ron and I ventured out and tried a new restaurant(MI RANCHO) in the vicinity of our old house, they just opened on Monday. The food was good, and I am pretty picky about restaurant food. So it was a nice evening.

Kaitlyn at Holy Day

38th Birthday

My mom was so sweet to plan a birthday get together on April 25th at this Mexican restaurant Tortuga's. The food is really good. Ronnie came along, so it was pretty much a family affair. My mom made the birthday cake because it was Days of Unleavened Bread.
We all had a nice time.

Picnic

Niece Tori

April 23rd I picked up my niece Tori to go with me and the kids to visit Grandmother, she is such a sweet baby. We had a picnic outside and my kids pushed her around in the stroller until she fell asleep. We all had a good time, I am loving being a stay at home mom.

Dinner and A Movie

Our youth group in church put on a fundraiser this evening it was called "Dinner and a Movie" They had a movie screen set up behind the church in the yard area. When I was outside after church it was pretty warm and humid, so I put my shorts on. As the evening progressed it was very cool and breezy. We saw Night at the Museum, what a blast it was so much fun the picture and sound were awesome. We paid $5.00 for the meal(Hot dogs and burgers) and the movie. They also had candy and soda for sale. The young people are working to make money for their trip to San Antonio this summer.
The kids had a good time. I told the people that organized it that they needed to do it again. Fun times

Jazzercise

Today I looked into joining Jazzercise. I am in terrible shape and I need to loose a good 40 pounds. It is really reasonable and right up the street from me. It is $38.00a month unlimited classes, I thought that was pretty good. So I think i am going to start next week. So we will see how it goes.
