Fall Festival

Every November the kids school has a HUGE fundraiser. It is a carnival with food, carnival games, they have a dunking booth, severl huge jump houses, glam statition, 2rock walls, the bring in a petting zoo. The kids have suckh a blast, there is Dj that plays music. Every class puts together a themed basket for the silent auction, i think Ryan's class was about BBqing and Kaitlyn's class was art supplies. The baskets are amazing. People donate homemade clothes, portraits, gift cards for golfing, jewlery. The list goes on. The event makes about $30,000.00 for the school, and their is soooo much parental participation, it is awesome. Ryan got his hair colored blue and Kaitlyn's was pink, she got her nails painted and make up applied. We always have a great time at Fall festival

Fort in backyard

The kids built a fort in the back yard (Before it got too cold) and brought out their pillows and blankets. I made them some hot chocolate and whip cream, they were tickled pink. They thought it was so great to drink the hot chocolate in their fort.

Kaitlyn on Zipline

Zipline at High Pockets

My friend Randall Bradford and his new bride Liz were given a wedding reception in Houston for the family and friends that did not make their wedding in Australia during Feast time. Well the reception was held at High pockets Camp. The camp is owned by Paul and Christina Whitley. They served a wonderful Texas Bbq. they showed pictures from the wedding. It was great to see them.

Paul took a bunch of people on a hay ride, and then took us out to the zipline. We all rode twice and what an awesome rush it was. I had a total blast doing the zipline.

Kaitlyn will be going back up in June for the churches pre-teen camp, she is so excited to go,she will be old enough this summer to attend. She can't wait to do the zipline again.

Misc Feast Pictures

Ryan got a Feast gift from Uncle Clyde and Auntie Dee.

Family Day At Bushkill Falls

We had Family Day at Bushkill Falls. The kids did some fishing with Uncle Clyde and had a great time. Ron and i had the opportunity to hike around the falls, boy was it gorgeous and the weather was so nice and cool. I loved it. Being that we live in Houston, I always enjoy going to the cooler Feast sites. What beautiful country. I would not mind going back to Pennsylvania.

Beanie Babies

One of the days of the Feast the front of the stage was filled with Beanie Babies that someone had donated, so all the children at the Feast got to pick out 2. It was so funny to see all these little kids trying to decide which ones the liked the best.

Candle Making

In the town of Bushkill they had this candle store and you could take a tour and watch them make candles. They had some really nice candles, I just could not take them home with me. So the kids had the opportunity to make their own candeles. They put in different colored sand and then the lady poured the wax on top and put them in a freezer for like 20 minutes so they could set. I did bring those candles home. They had these really pretty plaques that had scriptures on them, I got one for Auntie Dee, she really liked it.

Arcade and Horseback Riding

One afternoon Ron went golfing with Uncle Clyde. So I took the kids to the arcade to play some video games. They had this one thing that I really liked, it was a shooting gallery that was preety neat. After the arcade I took the kids to go horse back riding, they really enjoyed being able to do that.

Kaitlyn turns 7

While we were up in PA, Kaitlyn turned 7. What a great time she had. To kick it off Auntie Dee, Becca and I took Kaitlyn and Jaz to get their nails done, they enjoyed that. That evening we ate pizza and Aunty Dee bought Kaitlyn a princess cupcake cake. We all sang Happy Birthdy. It was so nice to be with family. Auntie Dee's brother John did some magic tricks for the kids and they thought they were awesome. Grandma Kilough got Kaitlyn a Princess lunch box and Auntie Dee got her a horse (stuffed animal) We had a great evening with everyone.

Nintendo DS

The night before we left for the Feast, we gave the kids their Feast Gift. Ryan got a blue nintendo DS and Kaitlyn got a Red one. Boy were they thrilled to get them. We got Mario Cart for them and acouple other games. They were sure great on the long play ride.
