Nim's Island

Today I took the kids to see Nim's Island, the show is about a little girl and her father and they live on a remote island and that is all I am going to tell so as not to spoil the movie. I really liked it. Ron get's free movie tickets with his paycheck,so the kid's and I get to enjoy them. I took the kids to the .99 cent store to buy some movie candy, it is such a rip off at the movie to pay $4.00 for a box of candy.
When we got home Ron was home so the kids went with him to Ronnie's house. So it was nice to have a little kid free time.

Petco

Today we had to make a trip to Petco to get Tiny a kennel. Tiny is so spoiled,Kaitlyn treats him like a baby. I need to potty train him, because I am tired of cleaning up the mess.

The kids worked on some artwork, I have saved everything that they have done while they were in daycare. Years down the road it will be very sentimental to me.

Ryan rode his bike with his motorcycle helmet that his brother got him. He has a mini motorcycle and a mini 4 wheeler, all things he cannot ride at 4 years old.

Today is my 38th Birthday, time has flown. Life has been good. We are going to dinner with the family tomorrow night to celebrate.

Jumpin Joeys

This afternoon I took the kids to Jumpin Joeys in Humble, it is a kids center that has 6 jump houses, it was really cool when we went the kids and I had the whole place to ourselves it was great, and the lady informed me that I could go on everything with the kids. I HAD A BLAST I LAUGHED LIKE A CRAZY WOMEN. I am not in the gratest of shape, so I had to sit down and rest after jumping and climbing to the top of the slides, I think my body will be sore the next few days. I had fun with the kids so it was worth it. I think next time we go it will be at the same time. Good Times Good Times.

Pictures

Today I picked up some of my pictures from Hawaii,I got a disposable camera for the times we went out on a boat. Hawaii was so amazing, the time of year we went was perfect. March through September(?) is Whale watching season, the Humpback whales breed and have their babies.
When we went out to the island of Molokai we saw a mother and her baby, and they were like a 100 ft from our boat, when they are that close boats are suppose to turn off their motors until the whale swims away. So we sat for a good 15 minutes and waited for them to leave. I got some pictures, but I think I would need a high speed camera to get a good shot of them jumping out of the water. I was so amazed by these creatures, they are so peaceful looking. Our snorkeling trip was a highlight of the trip. I think I will do that again sometime.
They gave us wet suit type shirts to keep us warm,it was good to have them because the water was a chilly.
What a good time we had.

SAMS

Today the kids and I made a trip to Sams. I always have to take a list, because if I don't then I am buying all kinds of cool stuff left and right, and on top of it the kids want all the junk food. I was going to buy the kids a hot dog but they were part beef and part pork,so we had to exit the store, and find the kids something else.

Our neighbor turned 40 yesterday, and his wife rented a big yard sign saying LORDY LORDY RUSTY IS 40,I have never seen that before, what a neat idea. People are so creative nowadays.

The kids rode their bikes for a little while,Ryan has been riding without training wheels when he turned 3,we did not have to work with him, he just got on and started riding. I will have to say for having a boy he has been so EASY as far a potty training, bike riding and riding his scooter. Kaitlyn learn to ride her bike pretty quick also. LOL

MRI

Today I picked my mom up to take her to get an MRI,this test is to see what the cancer on the skull is doing. We hope that it has shrunk or gone away completely.
While my mom was having the test I took the kids to Whole Foods for lunch, they have the most amazing Pecan,Feta,& Spinach with Balsamic Vinegar dressing, I ate the whole salad,Kaitlyn had a PB & j and Ryan had Vegetable soup. I got the salad for my mom also. I could spend hours in Whole Foods and Lot's of $$$, it is not cheap to eat food that is good for you and good tasting. I get so tired of the standard food, so it is nice to try something new and fresh.
The kids played outside with the neighbor kids,it is so nice not to worry about your kids(too much)

NEIGHBORHOOD

Now that we are dog owner's we seem to be the hit of the neighborhood, people are amazed by our puppy "Tiny" and how tiny he really is he is very sweet, and is tolerating the kids very well. Tiny is getting so spoiled by the kids, if Kaitlyn is not in his sight he whimpers. It is so cool how one little dog can open up conversation with your neighbors, I met 2 ladies today alone. For the most part this seems to be a very friendly neighborhood. Ryan played with his Birthday gifts today. He got a remote control motorcyle from his sister Rashell,he thinks thats a cool toy.
Tonight Ron and Ronnie moved the rest of our stuff from our old house in Humble. The people that are moving in are very nice, so I think it will be a win win situation.

CHECKING OUT HOUSES

Today the kids and I picked up my mom,and checked out 3 houses. The first one was pretty small, the second one my mom liked, she wants to take Jim back to see it. There were so many trees, and the community was nice. The realtor is also checking some other houses for her. I have an agenda, and that is I want my mom to live closer to me. Now that I am not working I can help her out more. So we will leave it in God's hands, and see what his will is. The 3rd house was AWFUL I tell you,I would be embarresed to show my house in that condition. Different strokes for different folks.

NEW HOUSE

For those of you that don't know we have moved to a new community about 2 months ago. Ron told me to go and find another house before Kaitlyn started school, so we found a realtor, and the very first house I saw was this one,and I kept coming back to it.When Ron saw it he liked it. Everything worked out very smoothly,so we know it was meant to be.I love it here in Kingwood, the neighbors are very nice, and it just feels right. When we moved in there was nothing that we had to fix or paint.

Mom

One other Awesome piece of news is that my mom's cancer is in REMISSION-yaaaaa. That means that there are no active cancer cells. All the praise and glory belong to our Lord-Jesus Christ and God the father. He has worked many healings in my mom's life.
She will have to remain on the chemo (that she takes via IV every 3 weeks) for the rest of her life, and the reason is because of the stage she was in when she started the treatments and that it is an aggressive cancer. Thank you all for you prayers. She still has a long road to go in order to be cancer free.

RYAN TURNS 4

Today Ryan turned 4. We had a birthday party for him at Chucky Cheese in Humble. He had such a great time. I got him a Cars birthday cake. He had spent the night with Grandmother and Pa,so when I saw him he was all decked out like a cowboy (Pa and Grandmother got him the Western Ensemble for his birthday-we are talking nice boots,hat,belt,wranglers-he was pretty decked out.We ate pizza and then Chucky did a little Birthday dance. The kids loved playing the games and riding the rides.
This evening Ryan has been enjoying his gifts.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!

NEW ADDITION

We are pleased to announce the newest addition to our family.....TINY. Now that I am no longer working,we told the kids we would get them a puppie. I had been looking for about 2 months, so I finally found an ad for a dog we liked. Ryan wanted to go and stay at his brothers house,so we dropped him off there. Kaitlyn,Ron and I traveled to Conroe to pick out a puppy, when we got there Kaitlyn said that she wanted all of them. I told her only one at this time, so we stayed about 1 hour, and she finally picked the smallest dog of the litter, hence the name Tiny.
When we got home it was close to bedtime so I made Tiny a bed in the laundry room, well he did not like that one bit,he was wimpering so I put him in bed with Kaitlyn and he went right to sleep. Tiny is so sweet and loveable. He loves Kaitlyn.

Story Time

Today at 2:30 I took the kids to the Kingwood library for Storytime. Kaitlyn said she really liked it,and Ryan said the lady read too many books. One funny thing they were having some kind of voting thing going on and Ryan asked me why I was not voting,I told him that I did not want to-he was cool with that answer. Kingwood is a small library, they have plans to build a bigger state of the art library on 10 acres(starting in December)

I found this little pie shop that is close to us, and did the pies look yummy. Unleaven Bread is coming up so I did not want to purchase too much leavening. So i bought the kids some brownies for dessert tonight.

Ron is giving me a break from the kids,so he took them to the park. I will have to take pictures because it is a very cool park.

One side note I entered a contest about a week ago and the called me yesterday to tell me that I had won 4 tickets to the Houston Aeros game (Hockey) they play at our new arena (Toyota Center) I have not been there before.

Our trip to Maui was amazing. We flew in on Feb 28th,2008,the first night we stayed at the Kaanapali Hotel. Ron and the guys that were in the wedding went golfing. That afternoon I moved all our belongings to our condo. We had a great ocean view, and had the unique opportunity to see whales jumping out of the water.

Friday night was the rehersal dinner and Luau, the Luau was great. I think I had about 6 drinks and they did not even phase me. We all got pretty lai's when we arrived.

Saturday was the wedding, it started late because Rashell was unable to find the marriage license. Kaitlyn and Ryan walked down the aisle like they were pros. The food was awesome-Filet Mignon (The caterer was called Longhi's-they are world renowned)

Ron got choked up when he gave a little speech for the bride and groom, and then again when he danced with his daughter. We danced till midnight. What a great wedding.

So after the wedding we pretty much did our own thing, I tried snorkeling for the first time, and we took the kid's on a submarine ride.

One morning we drove around the whole island of Maui.

We had such a great time and hope to go back one day.
Now that the weather is getting warm the kids automatically put on their bathing suits,it was funny today they washed out the garbage can and made it into a mini swimming pool. it was pretty funny to see them squished in there.

I told Ryan that I heard him talking in his sleep, and he was saying "more soda" he laughed when I told them that.

The kids love to watch the movie trailers for the new upcoming kid shows and they laugh really hard at the new movie called WALL E, it will not be in theaters until June. They also love Horton hears a Who.

This is my 2nd week as a stay at home mom,and I must say that I am not bored always something to do.
