Funeral

Today Ron and I attended the funeral of my mom and Jim's next door neighbor Lloyd Czerwonka. They had so many flowere at the funeral home it was unbelievable. Jim got up and spoke about his friend of 35 years,he did an AWESOME job, he was also a pallbearer. The minister gave a beautiful sermon about life and death and it was mixed with humor, and what kind of person Lloyd was. I could not look at his wife Sharon because she was pretty emotional. They played favorite pieces of music, and the kids put together a wonderful slideshow to music. After the service we all filed out of the funeral home, and the casket was placed into a carriage and pulled to the gravesite by 2 Clydesdale horses. We drove to the gravesite and the minister preached a little more. Then they had the most beautiful symbolic ritual, the releasing of the dove's. The first dove was symbolic of the person that died, that dove would not return to his home, then they released 3 dove's that symbolize GOD, JESUS CHRIST,HOLY SPIRIT. Those dove would fly back to their home, this symbolizes God & Christ being a constant in our life. Then I think a about 10- 15 doves were let off and this is symbolic of the people in our lives and that they will be a constant (These dove's will return home also) The Czerwonka family honored their father in a beautiful way. I think it was a hard funeral for me, because Lloyd& Sharon are friends, and I realize that the dead are no longer suffering, now it is the living that have to go on with the void in their lives.

After we all went to Sharon's house and had a wonderful meal.
God bless the Czerwonka Family
